Our performances feature classics songs from old favourites like Glenn Miller, Vera Lynn, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin. We also cover swinging tunes by the most famous wartime big bands. Our repertoire includes more recent songs too. As a result, you’ll also hear songs from Michael Buble, Caro Emerald and Paolo Nutini that are certain to appeal to the young at heart. Lindyhop, West Coast and Balboa swing dances are interspersed with romantic ‘smoochers’ and ballroom and latin-american dancing favourites too. Hep to the Jive will play ‘something for everyone’ so that the dance floor is full at every swing or wartime event.
We pride ourselves on being the smallest ‘Big band’ in the UK. Hep to the Jive are actually a 4 piece band, with live brass and singers. However, our arrangements are uniquely crafted to create a huge sound. We provide all of our own sound and lighting equipment, which is fully PAT tested.
